Remembrance Service

We were delighted to welcome The Royal British Legion to school in November to share our annual Remembrance assembly with us.  This was a moving event, and the children sang beautifully.  The RBL team thanked us for inviting them to join us and as they left saying how much they appreciated the kindness and thoughtfulness of the children during the assembly. Owls class walked down to the war memorial on Remembrance Day where they read a short poem and laid a wreath on behalf of everyone at Icknield. A member of the public who had also attended the service congratulating them on their excellent behaviour and saying how well the children had read the poem.

Well done Year 6 – we are all proud of you too!
