Key Weekly Information
The classroom door will open from 8:40am each morning and children must be in the classroom and ready to learn by 8:50am. The school day will end at 3:20pm.

Badgers Class has two weekly sessions of PE taught: on  Wednesdays and Thursdays. We are swimming on Wednesdays, so swimming kits are needed.  Please ensure full PE kits are brought in to school on Thursdays.

Homework
Each Friday homework will be provided which will consist of:
• Practising spellings from the year 5-6 spelling list
• Practising our spelling rule of the week
• Completing a mathematics task
• Reading at least 5 days a week

We will be marking homework on Friday morning so please remember to return the homework books prior to this.

Learning

In year 5, we learn about a range of different topics including: forces, materials, Vikings and Islam. Please read our curriculum letter to parent for more detail.
