Key Stage 2 had a wonderful experience at Stapleford Granary this week.  Primary schools in the Anglian Learning trust came together for a 90-minute immersive musical experience, involving movement, listening, sound and singing. From mechanical birds and human sound machines to body percussion and song, the children ‘became’ the story, guided by the creative team, as images were projected onto the walls, enhanced by bespoke lighting and a soundscape. This project provided a unique, inspiring opportunity for the children to find their voices and identities within a specialist cultural environment, embrace new ideas, be creatively curious and share an unforgettable musical experience.   Toby and Henry, Year 4, said that they loved the singing and lighting.  They really enjoyed watching the bird puppet and would really have liked to have brought the bird back to school with them.  The children were given a Tin Forest activity booklet which they can complete at home.
