Key Weekly Information

The classroom door will open from 8:40am each morning and children must be in the classroom and ready to learn by 8:50am. The school day will end at 3:20pm.

Badgers Class has two weekly sessions of PE taught: on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Please ensure full PE kits are brought in to school on these days.

Homework

Each Friday, Badgers will be given their homework for that week. This work will be practising spellings from the year 5-6 spelling list. We will also be practising our spelling rule of the week. Badgers will be given one sheet of homework for mathematics and grammar; these will be stuck into their pink homework books. It is important for Badgers to be reading at least 5 days a week and continuing to fill in their reading journal.

We will be marking homework on Friday morning so please remember to return the homework books prior to this.

Learning

In year 5, we learn about a range of different topics including: Earth and Space, Oceans and Christianity. Please read our curriculum letter to parent for more detail.
