PE and Sports Premium

What is Sports Premium?

All maintained schools receive Sports Premium funding for pupils to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of Physical Education and sport on offer to children. At The Icknield Primary we use this funding to:

• Extend and develop the range of PE and sporting activities on offer
• Make improvements to sports facilities and resources that will benefit children now and in future years

At The Icknield Primary we are committed to offering a broad and balanced curriculum which encourages children to develop as ambitious and resilient learners. As part of that commitment we do our best to equip children with the knowledge, skills and motivation to lead healthy active lives and offer a range of opportunities which nurture interests and talents which our children can develop for lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

Each year we review our Sports Premium Plan to look specifically at the impact the spending has had on pupils and assess how effective we have been at achieving our goals. We will then use this analysis to plan sports premium spending for the following year.
