Key Information

Our classroom door opens at 8:40 am each morning. The children must be in the classroom and ready to learn by 8:50 am. The school day ends at 3:20 pm.

Owls Class has two weekly PE sessions on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please ensure the relevant kits are brought for these days with your child’s name on them.

Homework

Each Friday, Owls will be given their homework for that week. This will typically consist of one sheet of mathematics and another for grammar; these will be stuck into their pink homework books. It is important for all students to be reading at least 4 days a week and continue to fill in their reading journals. Children should regularly be playing TTRS and learning their 5/6 spellings.

We mark homework on Wednesday morning so please remember to return the homework books before this.

Areas of Learning

We are learning about The Maya in history, Personal Safety in PSHE, Evolution and Inheritance in science, and a biography about Rosa Parks in English. In maths, we are moving on to algebra and applying our times tables knowledge to support us with this unit.
